    Traditional Carnitas Recipe Using a Hand-Hammered Copper Pot

    This classic carnitas recipe brings the authentic taste of Mexico to your kitchen. Using a 7.5-liter copper cazo ensures even heat distribution and enhances the flavors of the pork as it cooks to perfection.

    Ingredients:

    • 2 lbs pork shoulder, cut into chunks
    • 1/2 cup orange juice
    • 1/4 cup lime juice
    • 4 cloves garlic, minced
    • 1 tsp salt
    • 1 tsp black pepper
    • 1/2 cup water

    Instructions:

    1. Place pork, orange juice, lime juice, garlic, salt, and pepper into the copper pot.
    2. Add water and bring to a boil over medium heat.
    3. Once boiling, reduce heat to a simmer and cook uncovered for 1.5-2 hours until the meat is tender and the liquid evaporates.
    4. Continue to cook until the pork turns golden brown and crispy.
