  2. Grind rice: Next, add a handful of uncooked white rice to the molcajete. Use the pestle to grind the rice into a fine powder. This helps to remove any remaining debris and smooth out the texture of the molcajete.

  3. Rinse the molcajete: Rinse the molcajete thoroughly with warm water, and use the brush to remove any remaining rice powder.

  4. Grind garlic and salt: Add several cloves of garlic and a tablespoon of salt to the molcajete. Grind them together with the pestle to create a paste. This helps to season the molcajete and create a non-stick surface.
